At the Help Center, we’ve taken stock of our blessings, evaluated our needs, and refocused on our mission to **Love God, Love People, and Serve the World.** Here’s how we can come together to continue making a difference in our community. #### A Call for Volunteers: Your Help Makes the Difference As we step into a new season, we face a pressing need for **bilingual volunteer cashiers** in the Gift and Thrift Store, **interviewers** in the Help Center, and **interpreters**. Additionally, we need dedicated workers for our **clothing and linen departments**, as several of our faithful volunteers are retiring or moving away. The beauty of volunteering with us? **You can set your own days and hours.** Whether you can give one morning a week or several afternoons a month, your time and effort will bless countless lives. #### Small Acts, Big Impact: How You Can Help Today Beyond volunteering, there are simple ways to contribute while you’re out and about: - **Pick up hand and feet warmers** that can fit in gloves and socks to help keep someone warm this winter. - **Clean out your linen closet** and donate gently used items that no longer serve your needs. Together, these small acts of kindness add up to immense blessings for those in need. #### Upcoming Closures Please note that the Help Center will be closed on the following dates: - **December 24, 25, 26** - **January 1** Additionally, if **Davidson County Schools are closed**, the Help Center will be as well. #### Celebrating Our Volunteers A heartfelt thank you to **Madison Campus Church** for providing a lovely lunch for our volunteers on November 8. Special thanks to Vernita Lewis and her amazing crew for preparing and serving such a delicious meal. Mark your calendars for next year’s lunch on **November 7, 2025!** #### Meeting Needs, Changing Lives Recently, we met a man who shared a story that deeply touched our hearts. Living in a trailer unfit for habitation, struggling with pests, and depending on a small Social Security check, he faced the imminent threat of homelessness. Despite his hardships, his heart overflowed with generosity and a willingness to help others. We were able to provide him and his friend with **food, clothing, and hope** by crafting a plan for long-term support. This is the power of community and God’s grace in action. #### Welcome to Our Newest Volunteers We’re thrilled to welcome **Erika Houston** and **Tim Potter** to our team. Thank you for joining us in this mission of love and service! #### With Gratitude and Grace To our pastoral staff, church leaders, members, and friends: **thank you** for your ongoing support, prayers, and donations. Most of all, we are grateful for the **Gift of Life through Jesus Christ**, whose grace reminds us daily of the abundance we’ve received. May His love and mercy guide us all as we continue to serve, grow, and love. Together, we are His hands and feet in a world so desperately in need of hope. - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ## [Love, Service, and Community](https://connect.madisoncampus.org/acs-blog/valentines) Valentine’s Day is just around the corner—just two weeks away!
