As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our sponsor church members. This year has truly been an eventful one—filled with challenges, rewards, and countless blessings. Through it all, God has richly blessed our efforts, and the mission of the 403 has not only continued but also expanded in every area. For that, we are deeply grateful.
To allow everyone to spend time with loved ones, please note that the 403 will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and our First Sunday of the Month Volunteer Day is canceled for December 1.
We want to express our gratitude to the students at Madison Academy High School for their generous food contributions to our pantry. Because of their efforts, we can provide even more food boxes without impacting our budget. This tradition has been a cornerstone of support for the 403 for many years, and we are thankful for their continued dedication.
Even as I write this, a group of 8th graders is walking through our doors, ready to volunteer their time on various projects. Their enthusiasm and selflessness are inspiring, and we are deeply appreciative of their contributions.
As the weather turns colder, we face an urgent need for blankets, tarps, tents, and backpacks. These items are critical for helping our clients stay warm and manage their belongings during the harsh winter months. If you can donate, know that your contribution will make a tangible difference in someone’s life. The items don’t need to be fancy—just functional and durable.
Sometimes, God moves in unexpected ways. A couple of weeks ago, a young woman from the neighborhood was on her way to Aldi’s when she felt drawn to stop by our store. After browsing, helping others find clothing, and talking with George about who we are and what we do, she decided to volunteer. Today, she dedicates two days a week to the 403, and she’s even become a regular attendee at our church. Coincidence? We think not. God’s grace is evident in her story, and we celebrate this beautiful testament to His work through our mission.
This Thanksgiving season is the perfect time to see what your community mission is all about. Whether it’s through volunteering, donating, or shopping at our gift and thrift store, we invite you to experience the difference the 403 makes in the lives of so many. Come in for a tour or simply stop by to find unique treasures. You’ll be blessed by the work happening here—a place of refuge for those in need.
As always, we ask for your prayers for the mission of the 403 as we strive to love God, love people, and serve the world—one person at a time. Together, we can continue to make a lasting impact right here in Madison, TN.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with love, joy, and the comfort of God’s blessings. Thank you for being an integral part of this journey.
With gratitude,
The 403 Team
