Serving with Love: Answering the Call to Make a Difference
Continuing the Mission to Love, Serve, and Support: Updates from the Help Center
The holiday season...
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner—just two weeks away! Instead of battling the crowds at big-box stores, why not find something truly special (and budget-friendly) at The 403? Whether you're shopping for a loved one, a friend, or even treating yourself, our shop is stocked with exceptional clothing for men, women, and children, along with a wide selection of coats to keep you warm.
And if you love the thrill of a great find, our boutique area is brimming with unique surprises and vintage treasures—because, let’s be honest, thrifting is in! Not only will you be scoring incredible deals, but every dollar you spend helps provide food for those in need. It’s shopping with a purpose—a win-win!
I recently picked up a beautiful pair of leather gloves for my granddaughter, and I know you’ll find something perfect too. And for the moms out there—check out our adorable infant and small children’s clothing, with each piece just $1.00.
So, what’s stopping you from visiting The 403? Step in, browse around, and become part of something bigger—a ministry that’s truly making an impact.
Our mission to serve our community is only possible with dedicated volunteers, and right now, we are in desperate need of:
Without enough volunteers, our ability to feed, clothe, and support our neighbors is limited. Here’s what’s at stake:
📌 40 lunches served daily
📌 9 grab bags for those without cooking facilities
📌 12 large food boxes given out each day
📌 Serving up to 32 families per day—only if we have enough interviewers
📌 80-100 people fed at our Sabbath morning breakfasts
These numbers represent real lives, and without extra hands, we risk turning people away who desperately need help. Could you spare a few hours to be a light in someone’s life?
Earlier this month, a woman walked into our Help Center—someone who had once been a pillar of her family and a professional in her field. But life had changed drastically. After surviving a traumatic brain injury from a brutal attack, she was left vulnerable and alone.
Her heart remained focused on her loved ones, choosing to move out rather than burden them. But when she returned to us, she was scared, brokenhearted, and unsure of what to do next. That day, we did more than provide food and clothing—we prayed with her, cried with her, and reminded her that she is never alone.
This is why we serve. This is why we need you.
A warm welcome home to Denise, Randy, Robin, and Kathy, who have returned after an extended absence! And a big thank you to our newest volunteers: Heather Waterhouse, Jennifer Downs, and Carlos Berrios—we’re thrilled to have you on board!
On a bittersweet note, our dear Betty Rogers has officially “retired” after 20+ years of faithfully handling our clothing donations. While she calls it retirement, we’re holding out hope it’s just a “leave of absence.” We already miss her dearly!
We know many of you are wondering about the sale of the building, but for now, there’s no update. We continue to explore our options, trusting God to lead the way. Please keep this endeavor in your prayers as we seek a space that will best serve our mission.
Every donation, every hour volunteered, every dollar spent at The 403 is part of something so much bigger—a movement of love, service, and faith. Thank you for supporting Madison Campus Church’s mission to Love God, Love People, and Serve the World—one person at a time.
Now, what are you waiting for? Come see us at The 403—shop, serve, and be a blessing!
